Senior Accountant

Role Description:
Reporting to the Corporate Administrative Director, the Senior Accountant will utilize hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices to perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses. The Senior Accountant will display a positive attitude, a strong dedication to hard work, and the ability to drive continuous improvement throughout the general accounting organization. As a key member of the accounting team, the Accounting Manager will be assisting with technical accounting and the monthly closing and consolidation process.
Essential Functions:
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with (French) GAAP
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting to the US Parent Company

Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities

Prepare schedules and support for financial and operational audits

Prepare quarterly statement of cash flows and cash reporting

Provide support to management for annual budget and periodic forecasts as needed

Analyze financial data including budget to actual variances
Minimum Experience / Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related field

5+ years of accounting experience

Public accounting experience or public company experience preferred

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with French GAAP

Experience with General Ledger Accounting Software (NetSuite Preferred)

Software and/or Technology industry experience preferred

Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
